Serenity House Inc (Men only)
A Life-Changing Residential Facility for Recovering Male Alcoholics in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
Serenity House is a 48 bed transitional residence based on the principles and philosophy of Alcoholics Anonymous. Serenity House is self-supporting. The Facility is regularly inspected and meets all safety, fire zoning, township and state codes. Serenity House saves the surrounding taxpayer communities more than $2 million annually. Day to day operating costs are raised by the board of directors and special events committee.
Bliss House (women only)
Established in 2001, Bliss House is a 12 bed facility for women addicted to drugs and or alcohol. The program at Bliss House, which utilizes a 12 Step approach to recovery, is open to women in several Indiana counties and is the only halfway house in Southern Indiana with this focus. The average length of stay to graduate from the program is 7 months. The physical, emotional and social benefits to the women who succeed with the program are obvious, but there’s also a monetary benefit to individual counties, as these women are provided treatment that’s needed instead of incurring expenses associated with incarceration.
