Bliss House (women only)

Established in 2001, Bliss House is a 12 bed facility for women addicted to drugs and or alcohol. The program at Bliss House, which utilizes a 12 Step approach to recovery, is open to women in several Indiana counties and is the only halfway house in Southern Indiana with this focus. The average length of stay to graduate from the program is 7 months. The physical, emotional and social benefits to the women who succeed with the program are obvious, but there’s also a monetary benefit to individual counties, as these women are provided treatment that’s needed instead of incurring expenses associated with incarceration.

St. John Center for Homeless Men

St. John Center for Homeless Men is open 7 days a week, 365 days a year.  We serve homeless men who are fathers, sons, brothers, and husbands who battle a myriad of issues that lead to their homelessness:  mental illness, complicated and chronic health issues, drug or alcohol addiction, and poverty.

In the last 12 months, an average of 2,000 men visited the shelter 65,000 times to find help, hope, and refuge.  That is why we do what we do; our mission is to help homeless men address barriers to self-sufficiency and housing so that they may leave homelessness for good.

By providing shelter, social services, supportive housing, and serving as a hub with partner agencies, St. John Center is where homeless men “seek help, find hope, and move forward.”

We offer two complimentary programs: the Emergency Day Shelter and Social Services Center, and the Permanent Housing Program.
